Electricity usage of Televisions vary and some TV's use more electricity than others.

My 40 inch led television has a sticker on the back of it that says it uses 59 watts of electricity per hour.

So if I run that 40 inch led TV for 8 hours per day which I do a lot for background noise then I would use 472 watts of electricity per day so times that 472 watts per day for roughly 30 days I would use 14,160 watts and my electricity costs is 10 cents per kwh so it would cost me $1.42 per month to watch my TV 8 hours per day for 30 days.

That's a pretty cheap price and certainly cheaper than one movie ticket.
