There's really not much if any savings especially with today's led light bulbs.

It used to be that you should turn your lights off when leaving the room or home for longer than 1 hour because of the energy savings since the old light bulbs used from 50 to 100 watts of electricity per hour of being on.

But now led light bulbs use as little as 9 watts so leaving them on longer doesn't really cost that much and actually turning the led light bulb on and off too much can shorten it's lifespan and then you won't be saving anything.

I only turn my led light bulbs off if I'm gonna be out of the house or out of the room longer than 4 hours otherwise I leave them on and I don't notice too much increase in my electric bill.
