Heating a home with heating oil is expensive and I would never have or live in a home that has heating oil as the only heating option.
The heat from the oil fired furnace was nice and warm but it cost me $900.00 per month to keep that house warm with heating oil and sometimes depending on the cost of the heating oil and how cold it was it cost as high as $1,500.00 one month to heat the home using heating oil.
I moved into a house of the same size that heats with natural gas and my bill has never been any higher than $500.00 per month and sometimes less.
With heating oil you have to pay to have the tank filled up and you have to pay the full price of $1,000.00 or more to have it filled but with natural gas you get a monthly bill each month for the natural gas usage and it's much cheaper.
