A wood deck should dry out within 24 hours after it gets rained on.
So if you plan to apply deck stain to your deck you should wait until 24 to 48 hours before applying any deck stain or deck sealer to the deck.
When the deck is wet it won't absorb the deck stain or deck sealer like it should.
