A good distance to sit from your Television for optimal viewing experience is to sit a minimum of 5 feet away from the Television if possible and for larger Televisions it's best to sit at a distance of 8 to 9 feet away from the Television.
This is especially true for large Televisions such as a 55 inch Television which should be placed 8 to 9 feet away from the couch or chair to get the best picture from the larger screen.
