Do solid state drives last longer?

Should I replace my standard hard disk drive in my desktop computer with a Solid State Drive instead?

Do the Solid State Drives have a longer lifespan than regular spinning disk hard drives?

Solid State Drives don't tend to last as long as the old hard disk drives and I've experienced failures of Solid State Drives within 3 years of installing the Solid State Drive in my computer.

The regular disk drive that I replaced the solid state drive with lasted 8 years and is actually still working but I just wanted to change out to a solid state drive and although the computer was faster the hard drive failed too soon so I went back to hard disk drives that are so much more reliable even though it has moving parts and the solid state drive doesn't.

Some Solid State drives may last longer than 3 years and if so I'm glad that it does for some people but in my experience I only got 3 years out of one and never went back to solid state drives anymore after that.
