Do LED Monitors have a break in period?

I bought a new led computer monitor yesterday and just hooked it up to my computer and now part of the white backgrounds have a light pinkish color to them on every website that I visit including this one.

Well the text box that I'm typing this in the above portion that has the options above that was grey including the category drop downs that were gray in color on my old led monitor are now a light pink in color.

Is this normal for a new led monitor because I can't remember this happening on my old led monitor but maybe it did?

Do led monitors need time being on before the colors will set to the correct colors?

I love the monitor and got a great deal on it at Walmart but not so sure now if I should return it or just give it time to break itself in?

Yes Led Monitors do require a break in period.

So if you just got your led monitor and the colors are not quite correct leave the monitor on and continue to use it and within a day or so the colors should be back to normal.

The colors are correct for me on here but when I bought a new led monitor the same problem happened to me on other websites and within a day it corrected itself.

Also make sure your video card settings are correct as well and the resolution is set to the computer monitors resolution.

I bought a new led monitor as well a few days ago and I too thought something was wrong with the monitor when I too experienced that pinkish color.

I tried adjusting the monitor brightness etc and even the settings on my desktop computer but it still was there.

Now over the course of a few days of using the led monitor the pinkish color is starting to go away and the colors are starting to display correctly.

Like right now I see a little pinkish color on the grey portions of this website and the background of this website and other websites but it's not as bad as it was and it's starting to get back to normal.

It may take a few days or it may take a week or more for the colors to fully adjust but it should be much better in a few weeks to a month.
