Many batteries in vehicles last from 3 to 5 years and I've had an Duralast Battery from Autozone in my car for 4 years now without problems but in the next year I'll be replacing it just because I want the peace of mind knowing I have a good new battery in the vehicle.
5 years is a good life for a vehicle battery and any longer than that then you risk getting stranded due to a dead battery.
Vehicle batteries should be replaced every 5 years anyway regardless of how many more years they may last.
