You don't have to refrigerate opened or unopened BBQ sauce and you can safely leave it out in the pantry or on the counter or table without worrying about it going bad.
Although refrigerating the BBQ sauce can keep the BBQ sauce fresher and make it last longer.
But the BBQ sauce should easily last at least a month or 2 out in the open as long as it's kept sealed up.
