DSL stands for Digital Subscriber line.

DSL connects you to the internet, by using a Modem Modem Stands for Modulator Demodulator.

From your modem the data is sent over copper lines to your Telecos Central Office, where it connects with a D Slam.

From the Dslam it goes out to data centers, where it then connects with web servers where the web pages such as this site reside on.

The information is then sent back to the client, "Your computer" through the central office and D Slam.

I hope I explained that good. I'm no expert, but at least I tried.
