BBQ sauce can safely be left out of the fridge for up to 1 month but if you want to keep the BBQ sauce longer than one month and extend the life of the BBQ sauce then you should refrigerate it.
There's nothing in BBQ sauce that requires refrigeration for safety and I leave BBQ sauce out on my Kitchen Counter all the time since I use it a lot and it's always been fine.
