For bedrooms you need to have an electrical outlet at least every 12 feet of a wall and you should have at least one electrical outlet on each bedroom wall.
So for a bedroom it's recommended to have a minimum of 4 electrical outlets per room .
For a living room I would put at least 2 on each wall and in the dining room one on each wall is usually enough but you can never have too many outlets.
So add as many outlets as you think you need although you need at least 1 electrical outlet on each wall of a room.
