Nurse Practitioners must obtain their four year bachelors degree in nursing plus pass their RN exam and also obtain a nursing license.
To become a Nurse Practitioner you must also have one to two years of nursing experience and complete a masters program or equivalent of one to two years.
So in short it takes a minimum of 4 years to become a nurse Practitioner.
