If you make an insurance claim of $2,000.00 or more then you can expect your insurance rates to increase by 40 percent.

That would man that your insurance rates would increase $335.00 per year if you're already paying $815.00 per year on your auto insurance.

If you make two insurance claims in one year then your insurance rates could increase by 93 percent.

Always make sure that it's really worth it to put in an insurance claim for something done to your vehicle as sometimes it's much cheaper especially for something small to just pay out of pocket and not put in an insurance claim to pay for it.

Even getting a windshield replaced would be cheaper to just pay out of pocket instead of having insurance take care of it and paying a deductible which is usually $500.00 just for the deductible.

I can get my cars windshield replaced out of pocket for $250.00 so I would be saving $250.00 by not paying that insurance deductible for having the insurance company cover the cost of my windshield replacement.
