If the fugitive is not a felon that you're hiding then you can face a jail sentence of up to one year and in some places you could even face a fine of $1,000.00 or more.
If the fugitive that you're hiding is a felon or has committed a felony crime then you can face up to 5 years minimum in prison and maybe even longer in prison plus a fine could be applied on top of the prison sentence.
That fine can vary but you may face a fine of up to $5,000.00 plus the prison sentence.
