Having breast cancer passed down to you from your parents is rare although it can happen and when breast cancer is passed down from your parents or family members the breast cancer is passed down due to gene changes known as mutations.
Inheriting breast cancer is not that common and only 5% to 10% of breast cancer cases are inherited while the rest of breast cancers are caused by other things that can vary from person to person.
