First if you're driving and see a flooded road you should turn around and not try to go through the flooded water.

It only takes a little bit of water to float a car off and cause someone or people in the vehicle to drown.

If you do happen to get trapped in flood water you should try to get out of the window and get on top of your car.

Remember that it only takes 1 foot of flood water to carry a car or other vehicle away with it.

If the flood waters start to rise above your vehicle you should get out of your car and abandon it as soon as possible as long as the flood water is not moving.

If you're stuck in moving flood waters and can't get out of your car you should call 911 for help if possible and hope for the best.

Best thing you can do is prevent getting in the flood in the first place so if you see flood water never drive into it.

Remember the saying Turn Around Don't Drown.
