When a baby is born with fetal alcohol syndrome some symptoms and conditions that could happen are failure to thrive, development delays, slow growth, low birth weight and short stature.

As the baby grows into a toddler and child you may notice they get aggressive, have learning disabilities or become antisocial or even irritable.

Other common symptoms that go along with fetal alcohol syndrome are congenital heart disease, hearing loss, anxiety, poor coordination a single line on the palm of their hand, speech impairment and vision disorder.

A child or babies face may also be misshapen due to the fetal alcohol syndrome.

Fetal alcohol syndrome is caused by the pregnant mother drinking alcohol while pregnant so if you're pregnant you should avoid any alcohol.
