Your window ac leaking water into the house is not normal is usually caused by a clogged condensate drain hole at the back or bottom of the window ac on the outside or it could be because the window ac isn't tilted back far enough to allow the water to drain from the window ac.
First check to make sure if you have a drain plug on the back or bottom of the window ac and make sure that drain plug has the cap removed from it or that it's not clogged.
The window ac that has a drain hole needs the cap removed or to be unclogged to allow the condensate "water" to drain from the window ac and to the outside.
Some window ac's though I've noticed don't have the hole because they're designed to recirculate the water by a sling ring on the window ac fan blade.
Try tipping the window ac back a little farther and see if that keeps the water from draining in your house which should solve the problem.
