Once you've been exposed to the flu virus you can catch it as early as 24 hours but in some cases it takes 48 hours before you develop symptoms of the flu virus after being exposed to it.
Some people catch the flu virus sooner than others. So it varies from person to person as to when they catch the flu after being exposed.
