There's really no set amount of time that a person will be able to live on dialysis however the reported life expectancy of someone who is on dialysis is from 5 to 10 years.
However some people have lived for 20 to 30 years while on dialysis so it depends.
If the person is able to get a kidney transplant then the person could live a full lifespan if the kidney takes like it should.
