If you have some clove oil you can apply a few drops of clove oil to the gums of your teeth or soak a cotton ball with clove oil and place the cotton ball with clove oil on the hurting tooth.

The clove oil will help relieve the tooth pain.

You can also make a paste to numb the toothache if you have the stuff to make it with.

You'll need a teaspoon of vanilla extract, a teaspoon of baking soda, a ground up aspirin tablet and an oral numbing solution which can be bought over the counter at most drug stores.

Mix those together to make a paste and then apply the numbing paste to the toothache.

Chewing on ice can also help to relieve tooth pain.

Also your sleeping position can affect your toothache and make the toothache worse at night so try a different sleeping position.

Try sleeping with your head in an elevated position by propping your head up with pillows to keep the blood doesn't cause extra pressure on your sensitive areas of the teeth.
