Planting garlic and other plants such as Lavender, scented geraniums and even planting some citronella grass will keep mosquitoes away from you.
Also you can make homemade citronella candles to burn while you're outside to keep the mosquitoes away and look around your yard to find anyplace that stagnant water might be and dump the stagnant water out because stagnant water is a breeding ground for mosquitoes.
Lavender body oil will also keep mosquitoes off of you and keep them away from you as well.
Another thing you can do is to eat some garlic and when you sweat you'll put out a scent from the garlic that mosquitoes hate and they'll stay away from you.
