How long do you let new grass grow before you cut it?

After you plant new grass you should wait after 2 months before cutting the new grass as this will allow the seeds to fully germinate.

If you cut the grass too early before that two months then you risk damage to the grass.

Usually after two months after planting the grass the grass should grow to 3 inches or 3.5 inches tall and then the grass can be cut.
