If your core body temperatures drops below 95 F then the body is at risk for hypothermia to set in and then that's when a person can die. "Freeze to death"
Hypothermia can set in at any outdoor temperature so you can even get hypothermia if the temperature outside is 60 F as long as your body temperature drops below 95 F.
It's very important if going out into the cold or working in the cold to go inside your house or other building or a place with heat to warm back up frequently.
Freezing to death can actually take awhile if the temperature is above freezing outside but some homeless people have survived the freezing temps by staying under layers of blankets.
