What is the point in having kids?

What do people hope to accomplish when they have children? How do they justify bringing children into a cruel and chaotic world?

If everyone thought that way there'd be no one in this world.

I would love to one day have children but I won't do it unless I know that I can provide for them.

And I want to be able to leave them money in a savings account so that they will be able to take care of themselves financially in the future.

If I can't do that then I won't have kids.

I have to think about them too.
