Do Older Domain Names And Websites Rank Better In google?

I have a 5 month old domain and blog. The site is not ranking in google for any keywords yet.

I have created lots of quality unique content and still it hasn't ranked at all?

Is it normal for new websites to not rank very good until the domain and website ages?

How long should I have to wait before getting organic website traffic from google or other search engines?

Yes. The older the domain the more stable the website is and it lends more credibility to the search engines.

With all of googles updates it can take longer now to rank a website in googles search results.

Unless you're a really great SEO Expert or very lucky you will need to wait awhile before getting your website ranked in the search engines and gain lots of traffic.

My other website http://webmasterbabble.com took almost 4 years before I really started getting search engine traffic.

Now that it's been around for almost a half decade google trusts the website more realizing that it's a stable website that wasn't just put up and would vanish in a year or 2.

Be patient and you should see results over time and the older the website the more traffic you should get from search engines.

Just keep adding content and you should see your website grow over time.

Same as a garden. Plant it now and take care of it and wait and then you'll see the fruits of your labor in the future.

New Websites are usually sandboxed in googles search engine until at least 6 months.

You can sometimes get traffic before those 6 months but after 6 months you should start getting more and more traffic from google and other search engines.

Focus on getting traffic from other sources too and forget about google traffic for while.

Try using Facebook, Twitter, Forums and commenting on blogs.

You have to continue to be patient. Ranking in google takes time.

Web domains less than six months old are considered a “new” site, and therefore are less trustworthy or reliable than an older website that has been thoroughly verified.

New sites can still be ranked, but rankings are more likely to increase after six-months.

Keep working on your site and adding more content.

The more content the better you have a chance at ranking.

It can take a lot longer to get on the first page of google. Probably somewhere at least 4 years or longer to reach first page unless you're really lucky with your website.
