Can I use water instead of milk in pancake mix?

I want to make some pancakes in the morning for breakfast but I'm out of milk. Can I use water instead to make the pancakes without using milk?

Milk is basically just used to add flavor to the pancakes so it's not absolutely necessary to use milk with the pancake mix.

Using water will work just fine to make pancakes with and I've done it a lot myself and the pancakes turn out just fine for me.

I've heard you can also add some orange juice in place of milk to add some flavor to the pancakes but never tried it.
