Do LCD monitors lose brightness?

I remember when I used CRT computers monitors around 10 years ago now and after around 7 years of use the CRT monitor would start to dim and lose it's brightness even if you turned the brightness all the way up it would still be dim.

Do the led and LCD computer monitors that we use today dim or lose their brightness like the old CRT cathode ray tubes?

My lCD monitor seems like it's getting dim too but not sure if it's just the lighting in my house or my eyes.

Led and LCD computer monitors do lose their brightness after so many hours of use.

The reason the LCD or led loses brightness is because of the back light in the monitor that starts to dim.

When the monitor is starting to dim then that means soon after the monitor will likely go out completely since the dimming of the bulb means the bulb is going bad.

If your monitor is dimming then expect to replace the monitor soon.
